Shame, but I will get over it

I am not a war monger, nor an idiot. The politics always takes an upper hand to emotions. The reconciliation with Armenia is necessary, but painful - for memories of war still linger - no one wants a repeat of 1990s carnage. But greedy frontline still claims victims every day of the year. We are still at war, even if we chose to forget.

Turkey as a nation is still our greates ally, even if her politicians betray us from time to time . Our eternal brotherhood will never be broken, by Russia, political Islamists or Armenians. We are part of one nation and every Turk is just as much an Azeri as Baku is brother to Istanbul.

Nazim, you start with "politics always takes an upper hand to emotions", but then use the adverb "never" in the 2nd paragraph, alongside "eternal brotherhood" and "brother". Two contradictory statements. You know the politics far better than I ever could, but surely what is true for every other nation is also true for Turkey: they will act on their own interests. And the foundations of international relations are shifting very fast at the moment. Azerbaijan will have to play a very long and clever game.

I mean that states have their own politics but we people have their own common history and cultural affinities - muslims like other muslims, frenchmen like Quebec, Russians like Greeks and Serbs. Despite of immediate state politics there is such thing as friendship of nations. Hundreds of years of history can not be undone by one political act

I wish Algeria acted on its own interest!!! I can't ever remember our politicians acting on our own interests as a country - everyone acts on their own interests as individual members of clans. The people can feck off!

What is Algeria's interest - not clear to me, seriously. Azerbaijan is surrounded by "enemies" real or imagined. Algeria does not have a tough neighbourhood, it is surrounded by Arab countries of similar culture and religion. What is Algeria's interest? What do you think?

Algeria's interest is to diversify its one leg economy as soon as possible, we do not produce anything apart from hydrocarbons. We need to get tough on education, fight organized crime which is now operating in parallel to the State in every sector, we need to train and reform the police and judicial systems. We need a dictatorship.
